外籍新生歡迎會

The 2008 Orientation for International Students was held on November 22, 2008. The purpose of this party was not only to provide an opportunity for all international students and internship students to know each other but also for them to understand more about the environment and available resource at Da-yeh University, such as learning Chinese language, the library, and the points for attention about the visa.
今年大葉大學的外籍新生歡迎會在97.9.22順利結束，本次的內容除了讓外籍新生及實習生互相認識，還有讓外籍生了解更多關於大葉學生的權益:像是華語教學的課程、圖書館設施及事務處理辦法還有簽證的注意事項。
On the other hand, International Exchange Division also helped each international student to find one or two language exchange and learning partners. These learning partners were selected from Da-yeh Honors Program, and they need to help and interact with their international companions. The idea is that foreign students can learn some Chinese, whereas Taiwanese students can practice English at the same time. Besides, the international students can also seek for some assistance from their exchange partners and inquire about daily life matters or studies issues around DYU.
We hope that this orientation can help all the international students to know more about academic life at Da-yeh University as well as Taiwanese culture in general. We wish them a wonderful memory at Da-yeh University.
我們也希望這個外籍新生歡迎會能讓外籍生更了解大葉的事務及環境，也能漸漸適應台灣的生活，我們也祝福他們能在大葉大學留下美好的回憶。
A German Who Loves Chinese Very Much - 文雅
Klara Johanna Wree - 文雅

In this issue, we also want to introduce another internship student who came from Germany and whose name is Klara Johanna Wree. She is a teaching assistant at the department of European Language in this semester.
在這一期裡，我們持續要為大家介紹一位來自德國的實習生，她的名字是Klara Johanna Wree。這個學期她也是在歐語系擔任助教的工作。
Professor Chen from the department of European Languages at Dayeh University who is studying for his PhD degree at Hamburg University recommended her to being a practical training student at DYU. He said that the learning environment and the facilities in our campus are pretty good. Therefore, Klara decided to come to Taiwan. Besides, Klara is really interested in Chinese language and culture. This is one of the reasons why she was eager to come to Taiwan.
因為大葉大學歐語系的陳教授在德國漢堡大學攻讀博士學位，表示大葉大學的學習環境與校園設施都相當不錯，因此向Klara 推薦本校成為她實習的學校。而後，Klara便決定到這邊來擔任助教的工作，此外，Klara對於中文及中華文化也相當感興趣，這也是為何當初她非常渴望能來到台灣的理由之一。
Klara thinks that people in Taiwan are really friendly. Compared with Germany, the traffic in Taiwan is also convenient. This is the first time for Klara to visit Taiwan, and there are a lot of famous Taiwanese cuisines which she wants to taste during this journey.
Klara認為台灣人都十分地友善，與德國比較起來，台灣的交通更是十分便捷。而這也是Klara第一次造訪台灣，她也希望能在此行品嘗到許多道地的台灣美食。
Klara hopes she can improve her ability of Chinese language during this year, and also travel around Taiwan to find some beautiful scenery and some interesting customs. Klara has a Chinese name, 文雅 (wen-ya). Next time if you meet her in the campus, don’t forget to use Chinese to chat with her.
Klara希望在來台灣的這一年當中，能增進她中文的能力，並到處遊玩尋找台灣美麗的風景及有趣的風俗文化。另一方面，Klara也有中文名字喔！她的中文名字是「文雅」。下次如果在校園遇到她的話，別忘了用中文跟她聊上幾句唷！
